About Us
Elevate Foundation Curaçao was founded on July 9, 2025. We are a non-profit organization aimed at the promotion of sport development and participation in sports for people of all ages, with a focus on personal growth, discipline, and social inclusion.
Our Mission
At Elevate Gymnastics Curaçao, our mission is to elevate youth through sport by fostering discipline, self‑confidence, and healthy living. We believe every child deserves access to high‑quality training in a space that empowers, encourages, and inspires. Through structured gymnastics programs, positive coaching, and a focus on personal growth, we guide young athletes to develop not only physical skills, but strong character, resilience, and pride in their achievements.
We are committed to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that children of all backgrounds and abilities feel welcomed and supported. Our programs aim to uplift our community by providing safe environments, meaningful mentorship, and opportunities that spark long‑term passion for fitness and well‑being. As we continue to grow, our goal is to shape confident, disciplined, and motivated youth who carry the values of Elevate into every area of their lives, inside and outside the gym.

Meet our Team
My name is Rosa Galán, chairwoman and coach at Elevate Gymnastics Curaçao. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised on Bonaire and Curaçao, I come from a multicultural background with Dutch and Dominican roots.
I am a mother of four and the owner of daycare center ’t Gelukswolkje, where I express my passion for working with children as a pedagogue. I am family-oriented and driven by the joy of helping children grow, develop, and feel confident.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, capturing meaningful moments, watching sunsets, staying active through dance and sports, and cooking and sharing good food with loved ones. And a good coffee makes my day!

Hi, I am Sisy Balentien,
Secretary, Board Member and Technical Coach of the Ascend Group at Elevate Gymnastics Curaçao.
In addition, I work as a Project Manager in the IT world, and I’m a proud mom of three amazing girls and adore my very patient partner.
In my free time, I love spending quality time with my family, enjoying nature, staying active, traveling and creating beautiful memories
My coaching style is centered on creating an environment where athletes can truly be themselves. I want them to be open to coaching and have a clear sense of where they want to go. For me, it’s important that they follow a path that gives them confidence, one they genuinely believe in. My role is to add value to their journey by supporting, guiding, and empowering them in both their personal and athletic development.

I’m Ingemara Salas-Bak. As part of Elevate Gymnastics Curaçao, I focus on communication with our members through the visual design of newsletters, event flyers, and informational updates.
I’m a proud mother of two amazing girls and work professionally as a tax advisor. My passion for shopping inspired me to start my own online boutique, combining creativity with entrepreneurship.
I truly enjoy being part of the Elevate team and love contributing wherever I can, supporting our athletes, coaches, and families.

"Hi there. I’m Mya Albertoe, the mental coach of Elevate Gymnastics.
Besides the amazing challenge of supporting these athletes mentally, I also work as a psychologist and mediator. I run my own private practice as a psychologist and alongside that, I serve as a mediator for the government.
I’m also a board member, a role I serve with great honor and dedication.
I come from a big family and I’ve built a big, lively family of my own too!😜
In my free time, I love staying active, being involved in sports, and working with young athletes. I also enjoy coaching, personal development, and creating meaningful connections with people."
"Hi, I’m Raycine Decaster-Godfried, proud mother of two daughters and Treasurer of Elevate Gymnastics Curaçao, where I oversee the financial health of the organization and contribute to its sustainable growth while supporting opportunities for young athletes to thrive.
Professionally, I’m a business consultant and owner of Business Lab B.V., known for helping entrepreneurs bring structure and clarity to their businesses through bookkeeping, taxes, and strategic guidance.
In my free time, you’ll find me planning trips and events down to the last detail or exploring new destinations and great food, because for me,

I am Adolfo Vargas, Venezuelan, university professor, former athlete, coach, and international judge of artistic gymnastics; I am part of the Elevate team with the responsibility of coordinating sports training planning and coach training programs; my hobbies include reading philosophical and pedagogical texts, as well as enjoying outdoor activities

My name is Czygarraine Alexander, and I am the choreography coach at Elevate. I truly enjoy helping our athletes grow in their performances and express themselves with confidence. Besides my role at Elevate, I am a pedagogue and currently working at Eligia Martier SBO.
Dance has always been part of who I am. I started dancing from a young age, and today I am still active as a board member of the dance group D’Art. Teaching children how to express themselves through dance is something I deeply love.
At Elevate, I am also part of the board, and being able to contribute to the growth of this beautiful team means a lot to me. I believe strongly in personal growth, meaningful conversations, and enjoying good food. Family plays a very important role in this and is at the heart of who I am.

I believe that every person has their own beauty, talents, and strengths, and my passion lies in helping them discover and enhance those qualities.

My name is Omar de Camps, former b-boy and hip-hop dancer and instructor, circus arts and acrobatics, aerialist specialized in flying trapeze and circus instructor, union leader at present.
My hobbies are health and fitness including all the above mentioned, music and reading, history and rights.
